Create a Promotion¶

Select the Template¶

1. Navigate to the RCX Program Administration Console.
2. Select program_name > Rules from the left navigation pane.
3. In the search box, type Templates.
4. Click the desired templates folder. The Rules table on the right lists existing rules.

Create the Promotion¶

1. Click the copy icon () next to the kind of promotion you want to instantiate from your template.

2. In the dialog box that shows, make changes to the following values:

   1. Set the Rule Name of the promotion to something other than the template name.

      Tip

      For consistency, specify <Currency> <LOB> and then the name of the promotion, such as TC GMG <promo name>.

   2. Name the promotion folder, such as Basic Promos.

   3. Set the description as desired.

   4. Set the bonus value to the multiplier.

      • If this promotion targets specific tiers, select them from the Tier Levels dropdown.
      • If this promotion applies to just specific segments, select them from the Segments drop-down.

3. Target a site:

   1. Click Extended Attributes.
   2. In the Site drop down, choose the site you want to target with this promo, or choose None to target all sites.
4. Click Extended Attributes in the General section.

5. Click the Availability tab to set the following as needed:

   1. Set the Effective From and Effective To dates.
   2. Set the availability per your requirements.

6. Click OK.

7. Publish the program to enable the new promotion.

Define Segments¶

1. Navigate to Reference Data > Segments.
2. Click +Add Segment.
