Schedule an Integration Run

Schedule an Integration Run

You can run integrations on demand, once on a specified date and time, or on a recurring schedule.

Before You Begin

  1. Click Integrations in the left navigation pane. The Integrations view lists existing integrations.
  2. Find the integration you want to work with:

    • Search for the integration by its name or description.
    • Filter integrations by partner name, RCX process, template, or status.
  3. Click the Edit icon () in the Actions column or click the integration name and click Edit in the upper right corner.

To schedule the integration:

  1. Click Scheduling. The Scheduling Properties pane opens.

    Field Definitions
    Effective Date/Time *
The date and time the integration runs.
    Repeating *
Whether the integration runs on a recurring basis. If Yes is selected, two additional fields, Frequency and Repeat Interval, are displayed.
    Frequency *

For schedules that repeat, the general time unit for how often the process is to run. Choices are:

    • minutes
    • hours
    • days
    • weeks
    • months
    • years

The Frequency and Repeat Interval are used together to schedule the recurring integrations, instructing FeedXChange to run this task every [Repeat Interval] [Frequency].

    Repeat Interval *
For schedules that repeat, determines how often the process repeats. For example, 2 with weeks means the integration runs biweekly. The Repeat Interval must be a positive integer.
    Control Rate/Min *
Determines the number of transactions FeedXChange processes per minute. The rate limit ensures that the system efficiently handles each request without exceeding capacity constraints, maintaining optimal performance and stability.

The Scheduling Properties pane in the Integration Properties editor. The pane displays fields for setting the effective date and time, repeating options with Yes or No radio buttons, frequency dropdown set to Days, repeat interval set to 3, and control rate per minute set to 4000. The Preview Schedule button is visible. The top right corner shows last updated information with a user name and timestamp.

  2. In the Effective Date/Time field, select the future date and time you want the integration to run.

    Note

If you schedule an integration to run at a time before its publish date, or if a system is offline when the integration is scheduled to run, FeedXChange might not run it at the intended time. In these cases, it tries to run the integration as soon as possible.

  3. To run the integration once, set Repeating to No. To run the integration on a recurring basis, set Repeating to Yes. The Frequency and Repeat Interval fields are displayed.

    1. If repeating, select the Frequency.
    2. If repeating, type the Repeat Interval as a positive whole number.
    3. Click Preview Schedule to review the upcoming integration runs per the selected schedule.
  4. Type the Control Rate/Min value as a positive whole number.
  5. Click Save in the upper right corner.
