Creating Partners

Before you can configure integrations, you must create at least one partner.

In this tutorial, you add the hosting partner, Acme Pet Shop, and a coalition partner, PAWs Resorts.

Note

This tutorial assumes you've already created a loyalty program called Acme Pet Loyalty Rewards. If you haven't, select another program for this exercise.

Adding the Hosting Partner

  1. Click Partners in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click + Create New in the upper-right corner. The Partner Details view opens.

Partner Details form shows the Partner Name, Partner Type, Code, Support Number, Support Email, Program, Timezone, Status, and Hosting Partner set as described in the table in the next step.

  1. Fill in the fields as described:

    Property Name Property Description
    Partner Name Type Acme Pet Shop.
    Partner Type Select Retail.
    Code Type AcmePetUSA.
    Support Number Type 8885551212.
    Support Email Type acme-support@example.com.
    Program Select Acme Pet Loyalty Rewards.
    Timezone Select America\Los Angeles.
    Status Select Active.
    Hosting Partner Select Yes.

  2. Click Save in the upper right corner.

Adding the Coalition Partner

In this tutorial, Acme Pet Shop has teamed up with the PAWs Resorts pet resort and spa. Program members can use their Acme Pet Loyalty Rewards card at PAWs Resorts to earn points they can redeem at Acme Pet Shop.

  1. On the Partners list view, click + Create New in the upper-right corner of the screen. The Partner Details view opens.

  1. Fill in the fields as described:

    Property Name Property Description
    Partner Name Type PAWs Resorts.
    Partner Type Select Hotel.
    Code Type PAWS.
    Support Number Type 1-800-555-2222.
    Support Email Type paws-support@example.com.
    Program Select Acme Pet Loyalty Rewards.
    Timezone Select America\Los Angeles.
    Status Select Active.
    Hosting Partner Select No.

  2. Click Save in the upper right corner.

Next, configure the connection.
