Manage LimitsΒΆ

To create a limit:

  1. Expand Settings in the navigation pane.
  2. Click Limits.
  3. Click + Add Limit. The Limits dialog box opens.

  4. Complete each field as needed. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    Field Definitions
    Principal Type *
    The type of limit to create. Options are User and Role.
    User *
    If the Principal Type is User, the username for whom the limit applies. Only the selected user is affected.
    Role *
    If the Principal Type is Role, the role name for which the limit applies. All users with the selected role are affected.
    Program *
    The loyalty program the limit applies to.
    Target Type *
    The entity the limit applies to. Options are Coupon, Purse, and Reward.
    Target Coupon *
    If the Target Type is Coupon, the name of the coupon to limit.
    Target Purse *
    If the Target Type is Purse, the name of the purse to limit.
    Target Reward *
    If the Target Type is Reward, the name of the reward to limit.
    Limit Type *

    The way in which adjustments are limited. Options vary depending on the Target Type:

    Coupon

    • Max Count Limit: limit the number of coupon, purse, or reward adjustments

    Purse

    • Max Count Limit: limit the number of coupon, purse, or reward adjustments
    • Max Value per Member Limit: limit the value of the points a user can issue per member

    Reward

    • Max Issue Value Limit: limit the value a user can issue for the selected reward
    • Max Issue Value per Member Limit: limit the value a user can issue for the selected reward per member
    • Max Redemption Value Limit: limit the value of the rewards that can be redeemed
    • Max Redemption Value per Member limit: limit the value of the rewards that can be redeemed per member
    • Max Value per Member Limit: limit the value of rewards a user can award per member
    Day Limit
    If the limit is reset every day, the numeric value of the daily limitation.
    Week Limit
    If the limit is reset every week, the numeric value of the weekly limitation.
    Month Lmit
    If the limit is reset every month, the numeric value of the monthly limitation.

  5. Click OK.

To edit a limit:

  1. Expand Settings in the navigation pane.
  2. Click Limits.

  3. If the list of role or user limits is long, you can filter the lists by selecting the limit parameters:

    • Program: The loyalty program affected
    • Target Type: The type of limit: Coupon, Purse, or Reward
    • Coupon, Purse, or Reward: The name of the coupon, purse, or reward to show
    • Limit Type: The type of limit, which varies by Target Type.

  4. Click the Edit icon () for the role or user limit you want to edit.

  5. Change the fields as needed.

    Field Definitions
    Principal Type *
    The type of limit to create. Options are User and Role.
    User *
    If the Principal Type is User, the username for whom the limit applies. Only the selected user is affected.
    Role *
    If the Principal Type is Role, the role name for which the limit applies. All users with the selected role are affected.

    Limit Type *
