Locations¶
Depending on the permissions granted to your role, you can create, update, or delete locations in the Locations view.
Note
This entity supports division-based access control. The operations you can perform might also depend on the divisions you're assigned to.
Before you begin
- Expand Settings in the navigation pane.
- Click Locations.
Create Locations¶
To create a location:
- Click Add Location in the. The Location dialog box opens.

Complete each field as needed. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Field Definitions
- Location Name *
- The name of the location.
- Number
- The location number, such as a store number.
- Description
- The description of the location.
- City
- The city the location is in.
- State
- The state or province the location is in.
- Zip Code
- The postal code for the location.
- Country
- The country the location is in.
- Time Zone
- The time zone in which the location operates.
- Status
- The status of the location. Choices are
ActiveorInactive. - Latitude
- The physical latitude of the location.
- Longitude
- The physical longitude of the location.
- Divisions
- The divisions that govern the location. Division permissions control which users can manage this location record.

Click OK.
Edit Locations¶
To edit a location:
- Search for the location you want to work with. For detailed steps, see Using Advanced Search.
- Click the Edit icon () to open the Location dialog box.

Delete Locations¶
To delete a location:
- Search for the record you want to delete. For detailed steps, see Using Advanced Search.
- Click the Delete icon () in the Actions column.
- On the Delete Record? confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
