Manage Products

Depending on the permissions granted to your role, you can create, update, or delete products in the Products view.

Note

This entity supports division-based access control. The operations you can perform might also depend on the divisions you're assigned to.

Before you begin

  1. Expand Reference Data in the navigation pane.
  2. Click Products. The Enums view opens.

Create Products

To create a product:

  1. Click Add Product in the. The Product dialog box opens.

  2. Complete each field as needed. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    Field Definitions
    Product SKU *
    The product's Stock Keeping Unit number.
    Name *
    The product's name.
    Internal Code
    The optional internal code for the product.
    Description
    A description of the product.
    Effective Date
    The date the product became available in your organization. The default date is the current date.
    Expiration Date
    The date the product expires. The default date is Jan 1, 3000.
    Category
    The product's category.
    Sub Category
    The product's subcategory.
    Product UPC
    The Universal Product Code (UPC) for the product. UPC is a specific type of barcode language for US-sold products, managed by GS1.
    Style
    The product's style. You can use this to designate a size, a product variant, such as "Holiday Edition", and so on.
    Cost
    The product's cost.
    Product image URL
    The URL for the image of the product.
    Divisions
    The divisions that govern the product.

Edit Products

To edit a product:

  1. Search for the product you want to work with. For detailed steps, see Using Advanced Search.

  2. Change the fields as needed. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

    Field Descriptions
    Product SKU *
    The product's Stock Keeping Unit number.
    Name *
    The product's name.
    Internal Code
    The optional internal code for the product.
    Description
    A description of the product.
    Effective Date
    The date the product became available in your organization. The default date is the current date.
    Expiration Date
    The date the product expires. The default date is Jan 1, 3000.
    Category
    The product's category.
    Sub Category

  3. Click OK.

Delete Products

To delete a product:

  1. Search for the record you want to delete. For detailed steps, see Using Advanced Search.
  2. Click the Delete icon () in the Actions column.
  3. On the Delete Record? confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
